Attendance Matters at Porirua East School

Every day at school counts.
Regular attendance helps tamariki learn, build confidence, and feel connected to their class and school.

At Porirua East School, tamariki are expected to attend school every day they are well and able. This supports their right to education and gives them the best chance to reach their full potential.

Our school goal is 80% of students attending more than 90% of the time.

Attendance is a shared responsibility. We work closely with whānau to support positive attendance habits and respond early when challenges arise.

If your child is absent, please let us know as soon as possible via the Hero app.
If attendance becomes a concern, we will work alongside you to help.
